FINALS: The live Finals of GRIP6 at October 4th 2020
ATHLETE: The Athlete competing in the Finals
TEAM: A team consists of 3 men and 3 woman, with one 35+ years old
GOTICKETS: the system that GRIP6 uses for ticket sales

1. GRIP6
1.1. GRIP6 is not a CrossFit Sanctional Event
1.2. There is no Qualifier
1.3. The finals are at October 4th 2020

2. General rules, terms and conditions
2.1. To participate in GRIP6, every ATHLETE must agree to any and all Rules and Policies, including the Assumption of Risk, Publicity Release and Drug Testing Policy.
2.2. All ATHLETES agree to compete in a sportsmanlike manner.
2.2.1. Unsportsmanlike behavior, such as arguing with a representative of GRIP6, taunting, hackling, fighting or any other, may be grounds for penalty, suspension, disqualification or removal from the event.
2.2.2. ATHLETES will be held accountable for the behavior of their coaches and supporters. If the behavior of the coach or supporter is unsportsmanlike, the coach, supporter and/or ATHLETE is subject to the same consequences as stated in 2.2.1.
2.3. All times, deadlines etc. mentioned in our communication are in Central European Time.
2.4. If, for any reason, the FINAL is not capable of running as planned by reason of infection by computer virus, bugs, worms, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of GRIP6, which, in the sole opinion of GRIP6, are corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of THE FINAL, GRIP6 reserves the right to void suspect registrations or submissions and/or to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend THE FINAL.
2.5. GRIP6 will not be responsible for any damages or losses of any kind.
2.6. By participating in the FINALS, the ATHLETE and TEAM agree with being included in any film, photograph, audio and audiovisual recording. All copyright is owned by GRIP6 organization.
2.7. Terms of sale: GRIP6 uses GOTICKETS to process all tickets and payments. The standar terms of sale of GOTICKETS apply. No refunds are made.

3. Participation requirements
3.1. A TEAM consists of 6 ATHLETES: three men and three woman. One team member must be 35+ years old at the date of the FINALS.
3.2. All ATHLETES must be 18 years or older at the date of the FINALS.
3.3. There are two divisions for competition. There are no other recognized divisions beyond those listed.
3.3.1. Elite Team Division
3.3.1.1. Members do not need to be from the same box
3.3.1.2. The TEAM is sponsored by a brand
3.3.1.3. The TEAM wears a unique team uniform

3.3.2. Box Team Division
3.3.2.1. Members need to be from the same box
3.3.2.2. The TEAM wears a unique team uniform

3.4. The TEAM can replace an ATHLETE until the start of the FINALS. After the check-in, no substitutions are allowed.

4. Registration Details
4.1.1. The registration of the TEAM is only valid if the registration and service fee is paid in full at GoTickets.
4.1.2. The registration and service fee are published on GoTickets and our website.
4.1.3. No refunds or transfers will be permitted, regardless of reason (injury, illness, change in work schedule, deployment etc).

5. Standard Competition Rules
5.1. Each competition consists of 8 races.
5.2. Six races will be announced before the FINALS at our website and social media. The other two will be announced at the FINALS.
5.3. Every race will be totally different and has a different set of rules.
5.4. The following types of races can be used for the 2020 edition:
Bonny & Clyde: Race with one female and one male. No substitutions allowed.
You go, I go: One athlete must complete a full quadrant before switching.
Relay: Each athlete completes all 4 quadrants before the next athlete can go.
Lone Ranger: Individual race for one athlete.
Back and Forth: After each quadrant, athletes must go back to start.
Mirror: Two athletes need to work synchronized.
Pet Rock: One task must be done to be allowed to work in the quadrants (e.g. dead hang or hold)
Like a Team: Each member of the team has to do one element.
The Pyramid: Two elements that increase in difficulty.
Join the Party: In each quadrant, one athlete has to join to complete the elements.
Floor is Lava: Once the barbell leaves the ground, it cannot be dropped.
The Repeater: Two identical races run back to back, separated by 30 seconds.
AMWAP: Team accumulates as many successful lifts as possible.
The Ninja: bodyweight elements increasing in difficulty.
The Chipper: One element in each quadrant must be completed as fast as possible
Twin Chipper: Two players work simultaneously across two stations for each element.

6. Scoring
6.1. TEAMS will be ranked after each race.
6.2. If a TEAM is unable to complete the race within the time cap, the number of repetitions is used as tiebreaker.
6.3. The workout is completed when the TEAM stands up straight on the finish mat.
6.4. The following score systems will be used:
6.4.1. Scoring with 4 teams:
#1 – 100 pnt
#2 – 80 pnt
#3 – 60 pnt
#4 – 40 pnt
6.4.2. Scoring with 12 teams
#1 – 100 pnt
#2 – 95 pnt
#3 – 90 pnt
#4 – 85 pnt
#5 – 80 pnt
#6 – 70 pnt
#7 – 60 pnt
#8 – 50 pnt
#9 – 40 pnt
#10 – 30 pnt
#11 – 20 pnt
#12 – 10 pnt
6.5. The TEAM with the highest number of points after 8 races will be the winner of the competition.

7. Appeals and protests
7.1. Appeals and event protests may be filed if the TEAM believes an error has been made by an official or staff member. All TEAM protests and appeals will be filed immediately after the race or before the next race starts. Appeal and protest can only be made directed to the head marshall.

8. Changes
8.1. GRIP6 can revise this rulebook anytime. Changes will be communicated on our website.
8.2. In any case where the rulebook is unclear, GRIP6 always has the last word.
